On August 28, 2023, the Fairview Town Council adopted the FY 2023-24 ad valorem tax rate and the FY 2023-24 budget. This year's tax levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures is less than last year's maintenance and operations tax levy.

It has come to our attention that many of you have been receiving phone calls from a number posing to be from the Fairview Police Department. If you get a phone call from the Fairview Police Department and they state that you have outstanding warrants and you need to pay, please hang up and block that number. They are calling from an unknown number but will then hang up and call back spoofing the Police Department's number making it look like it is our actual number but isn’t. The Fairview Police Department’s number is (972) 886-4211. Any other phone numbers should be disregarded and reported to scamalerts@fairviewtexas.org
Atmos Energy recently became aware of an ongoing scam that directs victims to a fake website in an attempt to capture login and financial information.
Any user who clicks on one of these “spoofed” websites will see what looks like a legitimate Atmos Energy page, but the fake page will feature a fake customer service number and other false information.

The Town of Fairview requires all residential, commercial, and other non-residential alarm systems in Fairview, whether monitored or not, to have a valid alarm permit. Alarm permits must be renewed annually between January 1st and January 31st. Renewals received after January 31st will incur a late fee of $12.50 for residential and $25.00 for commercial and other non-residential. New and renewal residential alarm permit fees are $50.00, and new and renewal commercial and other non-residential alarm permit fees are $100.00.

October 24, 2022 - The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has begun the construction of 3 ft. wide “safety shoulders” on FM1378 (Country Club Rd.) from State Hwy. 5 to Stacy Rd. This project will take a few months for TxDOT to complete and there will be intermittent delays and flagmen during construction. TxDOT started on the State Hwy. 5 end of FM1378 and are working their way East and South.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) notified the Town of Fairview that it will close Ridgeview Dr. at U.S. 75 on Monday, October 3, 2022. TxDOT stated that the closure would last 20-24 months as they complete the reconstruction of the Ridgeview Dr. overpass. The reconstructed overpass will increase from two lanes to four lanes and will include pedestrian access.

At Noon on the first Wednesday of every month there is an audible test of the outdoor warning sirens.
Tests will not be performed during severe weather events. If Fairview is experiencing severe weather on a scheduled siren testing date, please assume the siren is weather-related and seek shelter immediately.
