In an average home, gallons of water are lost to leakage each day – that’s extra cost on your water and sewer bill.
The Town of Fairview has partnered with Master Meter, Inc. to bring smart meters (Advanced Metering Infrastructure, also referred to as AMI) to all homes in Town.
These smart meters can provide alerts if there is a leak, and an associated web portal and app can also provide you with detailed information about your water use and send you customized alerts to help you manage your water consumption and accurately predict your next water bill.
The My Water Advisor 2.0 website and app easily allow you to access your account via a web-ready device (computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone application) in real-time while providing the following benefits
- Create a monthly budget
- Conserve water
- Address high consumption during the month – not after the bill has arrived
- Be notified of leaks throughout the month to address them promptly
If you detect a leak and have it repaired by a licensed plumber, you may qualify for a leak adjustment.
The My Water Advisor 2.0 app is available for both iOS and Android devices. Download the app from the iPhone App Store or Google Play by searching for “My Water Advisor 2.0.”
To register your account on My Water Advisor 2.0, you will need to locate your water account number and the name associated with your account on your water bill from the Town of Fairview.
HOW TO SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT:
1. Go to www.mywateradvisor2.com
2. Click on JOIN MY WATER ADVISOR
3. Choose the SIGN UP WITH ACCOUNT NUMBER option:
4. Enter your Account Number as it appears on your bill. Ex. 00-0000-00
5. Enter your Name as it appears on your bill. Ex. Citizen, Joe
6. Enter a valid Email Address and create a Password.
