The Town of Fairview Police Department will participate in the United States Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 30^th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station #1, located at 510 State Highway 5. The focus of the event is on removing potentially dangerous substances from our nation’s medicine cabinets. Unused, unwanted, or expired medication can be disposed of in its original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the on-site disposal box. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in the original container. Caps must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage. Intravenous solutions, injectables and syringes will not be accepted due to the potential hazard posed by blood-borne pathogens.
