To protect the public health, by cost effective operation and maintenance of the water distribution system to provide clean potable water, and the effective operation and maintenance of our wastewater collection system.
About
The Town purchases water from the North Texas Municipal water district (NTMWD) and collects/transports wastewater to NTMWD’s wastewater treatment plant. The Public Works department operates and maintains 2 water pumping stations, 2 elevated storage tanks, 2 ground level storage tanks, 85 miles of water main, 900 fire hydrants, 4,300 water meters, 2 sewage pumping stations, 28 miles of sewage main, and 2 sewer metering stations. Daily we distribute over 2 million gallons of water to our citizens with peak summer time usage exceeding 6 million gallons per day.
