Boards and Commissions

The Town utilizes numerous citizen run Boards and Commissions to help ensure public input and participation in the setting of policy and in its decision-making processes. Members are appointed by the Town Council, usually for two-year terms.

To be eligible, individuals must be a registered voter of the town, may not be in arrears on property taxes and complete an Application to Serve.

EDC/CDC Overview

The Fairview Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Board of Directors is responsible for promoting the economic growth and diversification of the Town of Fairview, and for overseeing the half-penny sales tax collected for this purpose. The Town of Fairview Community Development Corporation Board of Directors (CDC) is responsible for promoting the community through infrastructure construction projects funded through the half-penny sales tax collected for this purpose.
